About Me

I'm the author of the Mira's Baking Adventures series and Isha Evans, Eco Detective, published under my imprint Learning Curve Media.
I founded an outdoor early childhood program and have spent my career directing and writing grants for nonprofit educational programs, including STEM enrichment.Previously, I worked as a journalist, trained at pastry school, and made desserts at a New York City restaurant. I've been combining my love of baking and teaching ever since.I believe that the "real world" - whether the kitchen or the forest - is the best classroom. I also blog about baking from around the world at Baker Without Borders.I live in Georgia with my husband and 6-year-old twins, who are my most enthusiastic (and opinionated) test readers.
